A U19 World Cup sensation, Wesley Madhevere has earned a call in the senior Zimbabwe squad and has made an impact both with the ball and the bat in his first two ODI matches of his career. In his first two matches, he has scored 87 runs at an average of 43.50 including one half-century. In his last 10 innings, Madhevere has scored 18 or more runs on seven occasions and that includes all forms of cricket. Wesley has scored five half-centuries in his last nine limited-overs innings. He has been pretty sensational in the recently concluded U19 World Cup both with bat and the ball and he Madhevere is showing glimpses of brilliance already early on in his ODI career. In the ICC U19 World Cup, Wesley scored 158 runs in six matches at an average of 26.33 with two half-centuries to his name. He was also the third-highest run-scorer for Zimbabwe U19 in the ICC U19 World Cup which took place in South Africa.
