Defending champions Multan Sultans will take on Quetta Gladiators for the seventh match of the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League at the National Stadium, Karachi on January 31, 2022 (Monday).
Multan Sultans are on a roll this time around, having won both of their games of the season, by stream rolling Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars and now are set to take on Quetta Gladiators in order to make three in three. With two games in the next two days, they would know how crucial it is to take the early honours in order to maintain a kind of serendipity that is hard to ignore. On the other hand, Quetta were clinical in their show against Karachi Kings and will want to push the cause once again.
Will Smeed might have played just 26 T20 games but his capability is never under any question. With an average of 32.26 and a strike rate of 140.26, Smeed has shown the kind of impact he can have as a batter, and hence, it is advisable to boost the focus on the momentum. He scored an impactful 97 in the last game but that is an extension of the imperious form. He has an average of 57.45 in the last 8 games, a record as good as any. In domestic T20s, he has an average of 32.00 and that increases to 33.20 in the Hundred. He is equally impactful in wins and losses, having averaged 32.36 and 32.11 respectively. While batting first, his impact delivers in the most magnetic of the situations, and hence, it is prudent to understand that his average of 37.70 is not an outlier. The last game was his debut in the PSL, in fact, it was only the third team he has ever turned up for Birmingham Phoneix and Somerset earlier. From the sample size that we have, it is best for us as punters to bet big on Smeed to deliver the goods. Watch out for this market on Parimatch.
Before saying anything, here are Mohammed Rizwan’s scores in the last five games - 69, 52*, 87, 38, 78. There are four big half-centuries in the last five games and that tells everything we need to know about Rizwan’s current form. Rizwan’s form has been epic as he averages 40.25 in T20s and 49.23 in wins. He carries on his sublime display both while batting first and second, averaging 40.00 and 39.71 respectively but what makes him standout is his performance for Multan Sultans for whom he averages 49.45. At the National Stadium in Karachi, he averages 57.91 and in Pakistan, his overall number stands at 44.78. In the 2021 PSL, the wicket-keeper batter averaged a stunning 45.45 and carried that form to average 98.50 in South Africa in Pakistan T20I Series 2020/21 and 67.67 in West Indies in Pakistan T20I Series 2021/22. Overall, his 2021 T20 average of 56.56 is a classic reminder of the fact that he is the best in the world in this period. Hence, it is a no-brainer that we should bet big on him through our affiliate partner Parimatch.
Sohaib Maqsood might have missed the bus by the barest of margins, after picking up an injury at the last moment, but there is a great opportunity for him to dominate the business call here in the PSL. Maqsood has a T20 average of 27.97 at a strike rate of 132.85 with 23 fifties to his name. To complement that further, he has another 22 scores of 30-29, making sure there is a lot of great potential in him to make the story count. In domestic T20s, Maqsood has an average of 30.57 but the fact that he scores 34.16 in wins makes things a lot easier. Since moving to Multan Sultans, his average has shot up to 38.94 and at the National Stadium in Karachi, he averages 40.71. These things make the choice pretty easy for us as the investor in this glorious bet. Furthermore, Maqsood scored 47.56 runs per dismissal in the 2021-22 Pakistan Super League, which is a great indicator of the things to come. I am all in for this bet and you can be richer too by placing the bet on Parimatch. Go in all in, fellas!
