In separate events in Mysuru, Karnataka, two bet makers were caught and arrested for allegedly involving themselves in an illegal cricket betting racket and matka business. The culprit was a young man organising a matka business at a tea shop in Shanthinagar. He was reprimanded by the Udayagiri police, as reported by TOI. The police seized a handful of equipment from the scene. An amount of Rs 5,490 was confiscated from the culprit. In addition to that, Nazarbad police got a tip-off about a racket being operated at a tea stall on Lokaranjan Mahal Road. A man was arrested for his alleged involvement in cricket betting. The police seized two mobile phones and a sum of Rs 76,000 from the racket operator.
