An Indian businessman has become the latest winner of the DDF Millennium Millionaire draw. On Wednesday, 43-year-old Rajan Kurian from Kottayam, Kerala, won a cool US$1 million (approx. Rs. 7.6 crores).
Kurian, who works in the construction sector, was quoted at NDTV as saying: "I will set aside a good part of my win to help needy. I feel grateful with the win but I need to share it people who need it.”
He added: “The last few months have been tough with the COVID-19 situation. My business has come to a standstill. This money will be put to good use."
It was a lucky draw for India with an Indian expat living in Dubai, 57-year-old Syed Hydrose Abdulla, winning a BMW motorbike in the same draw.
Both players bought their tickets online. You do not need to be located in the same country to play many international lotteries, with Indians able to play by buying lottery tickets online.
