Nostragamus adds poker to its growing platform

Looking to capitalise on the growth of mobile gaming driven in part by the COVID-19 lockdown, Nostragamus has added poker to its growing portfolio of games.

In an interview with GutShotMagazine, Nostragamus co-founder and CEO Yashashvi Takallapalli discusses the reasons behind the launch of Nostra Poker and what customers can expect from another poker portal in India.

The booming fantasy sports sector has been brought to a complete shutdown by an almost total absence of live sport during the coronavirus pandemic, and Takallapalli states this as one of the driving reasons in getting online poker live.

With so much competition in the Indian online poker space, the 30-year-old entrepreneur believes Nostra Poker can stand out, saying: “Players on Nostra Pro can expect great entertainment, not just in poker, but across different types of gaming. You can expect low rake, great offers, friendly KYC and withdrawal policies, and excellent customer service.

“Your money is safe with us, and you can play comfortably knowing that. You can also expect a table of your buy-in range to be available at all times. We are young in the poker industry, but we are already among the best in terms of availability of tables.”

In the interview, Takallapalli also discusses the similarities between fantasy sports and poker and his hopes for the future of online poker in India, which looks set to become a billion-dollar industry in the next few years.

Nostragamus bills itself as ‘India’s favorite multi-sports fantasy app’ and claims over 5 million users. Even if just a small percentage of that number were converted to real money poker, the benefits would be enormous.
