Online betting racket during Asia Cup; 3 arrested

An online betting racket was brought into the light, operating in the NCR region. A Shamli police officer gave information about this on Monday. The accused have been identified as Honey Mittal, Sandeep Bansal, Vishu Garg. Seven mobile phones, one laptop, one iPad, one calculator, three notebooks, three pens and 42,000 cash were seized from them.

Shamli SP Abhishek said, “We received inputs of online betting during the Asia Cup. A SWAT team arrested three culprits, but the gang leader Ashish is still absconding” as reported by The Times of India. Police registered a case under Section 3 and 4 of the Gambling Act and arrested Honey Mittal, Sandeep Bansal, Vishu Garg. It was learned that this racket was run by a person named Ashish Singhal, who is absconding.
