FTR Poker Acquired By i3 Interactive, Relaunched as Blitz Poker

Canadian-listed company i3 Interactive has announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire a controlling interest in FTR Poker, by taking a 65% stake.

The brand, which had over 75,000 active users as of July 2020, has relaunched as 'Blitz Poker' and will continue to offer Texas Hold'em and Omaha games for players of all skill levels.

i3 Interactive is developing a worldwide online and mobile gaming platform across sports, poker, and casino, and is leveraging its partnership with well-known social media celebrity, businessman, and high-stakes poker player, Dan Bilzerian.

It is Bilzerian who is the face of the new venture. He boasts over 50 million social media followers.

A visit to FTRPoker.com redirects to Blitz Poker where FTR players can learn more about the change. The site promises a Dan Bilzerian INR 1 Million Freeroll Tournament to welcome players on Blitz Poker (taking place 22 August). The winner will also get to party with Bilzerian at his next big party in Los Angeles, USA.

It's not Bilzerian's first association with the Indian gaming industry. In September 2019, fantasy gaming website Livepools announced that Bilzerian had invested in the project.

The same month, he was a special guest at the Indian Poker Championship Goa.
