Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals | Three bets to light up your Week

Even though Mumbai Indians are at the top of their points table for the time being, a win for Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming match could well see the former tied with the Royals at 6 points each. Going by the form, Mumbai Indians are firm favourites to win the match and claim two points on offer, but they woould not make the mistake of taking their rivals lightly. Whatever the result, we are set to have a cracker of a game this Tuesday evening, in Abu Dhabi and you better not miss out on the action.

To double the fun, I have already assorted the top three bets from the upcoming match and listed them below. Just go through my analysis and invest your money accordingly.

Sanju Samson to score over 23.5 runs @ 1.87 (Leo Vegas)

Deemed as the next big in Indian cricket, especially with his glovework, Sanju Samson may not have hogged the limelight in International cricket, but he is still going strong at the domestic levels. The dashing batsman started the 2020 IPL with a bang, scoring 74 and 84 runs respectively, to guide Rajasthan Royals in two consecutive matches. Even though he faltered in the next two, we are backing him up to make a comeback in the upcoming match. Even in the previous edition of the tournament, he scored a total of 342 runs, in 12 matches, at a rate of 34.20 runs per innings, with seven scores of over 23 runs.

In the past five matches against Mumbai Indians, his scores were - 35, 31, 26, 52, 76, racking up a total of 220 runs, averaging 44 runs per innings. Overall, in 16 matches against the IPL rivals, the right-hander has amassed 506 runs, at a rate of 31.63 runs per match. In 153 T20s, Samson has registered a total of 3652 runs, maintaining an average of 27.45 runs per innings, which gives us more reasons to invest in this particular bet.

Quinton de Kock to hit over 2.5 fours @ 1.80 (Bet 365)

Looking at the current form, we should not be going for this one, but it is Quinton de Kock we are talking about. It is hard to believe that the batsman wowould not score three boundaries in a T20 game, even though he has done it just twice this season, with a tally of 10 in five matches. For the records, he has hit a total of 45 boundaries in 16 matches, at a rate of almost 3 boundaries per match, having struck at least three in six of those matches. The last T20 competition he featured in was the 2019 Mzansi Super League, where he played nine matches, registered 31 boundaries, at a rate of 3.4 per match, having hit more than two in eight of those matches.

In the last three H2H matches against Rajasthan Royals, the southpaw has struck a total of 14 boundaries, averaging a total of 4.66 per match, having hit at least three in each of those games. Overall, in 189 T20s the Protean has played so far, the South African has hit a total of 3.14 strikes per match, which also supports our case. With odds of 1.80 on offer, we have no option but to invest on this deal.

Rohit Sharma to score under 25.5 runs @ 1.87 (Leo Vegas)

This might be a risky one, but the past records suggest otherwise, with all the evidence pointing that Rohit Sharma is not going to score big in the upcoming match. Even though he is still maintaining an average of 35.20 runs per innings, the opener has failed to get past the 25-run mark in two of the five matches played this season. Even in the past 12 T20Is, across four series, the explosive batsman has scored 26 runs or more just four times, having failed to do so in the other eight matches.

In the past five H2H matches against Rajasthan Royals, the 'Hitman', has scored just 79 runs (5, 47, 0, 0, 27), averaging 15.8 runs per innings, having failed to get past the 25-run mark in three of those game, while failing to score even a single run twice in the same time frame. Overall, in 23 matches against the Royals, the right-hander has scored a total of 532 runs, at a rate of 24.18 runs per innings. Even in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League, Rohit Sharma played 15 matches, but scored 25 runs or more in just seven of those matches. I hope you have placed the bet by now.

My Picks:

Sanju Samson to score over 23.5 runs @ 1.87 (Leo Vegas)

Quinton de Kock to hit over 2.5 fours @ 1.80 (Bet 365)

Rohit Sharma to score under 25.5 runs @ 1.87 (Leo Vegas)
