NCA must have tried their best, asserts Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Indian speedster Bhuvneshwar Kumar admitted that the National Cricket Academy (NCA) had tried their level best but he is unaware of what went wrong. To add some context, NCA was all along the place trying to diagnose the injury but failed to do so and came under scrutiny from the BCCI.

NCA must have tried their best but I don't know what went wrong and why they couldn't diagnose. Still I am not the right person to comment on that as it might say something else and BCCI will come up with something else," said Kumar as reported by The Times of India.

In dire conditions, the most reputed centre in India, the NCA has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons even after having Rahul Dravid as its director.

Bhuvneshwar although feels it is upon an individual on whether he seeks NCA’s help after an injury when asked if the players are now reluctant to consult the Bangalore-based Academy.

"It's an individual's responsibility or wish whether he wants to go to the NCA or not,” added the India International.

As per the latest reports, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is suffering from a sports hernia is unaware whether he will undergo surgery and is waiting for the doctor’s appointment.

"There is no surety of surgery, but generally, the standard procedure in case of sports hernia is surgery. But we still need to take an appointment and I am not sure where it's going to be. But we are trying to get it as soon as possible,” said Kumar.

There is no surety on a possible comeback date for the bowler even with the World T20 round the corner. The pacer feels that he is going to get a clearer picture once he consults the doctor.

"Till I consult a doctor, can't say when will be the comeback as it will depend on the diagnosis and treatment plan."
