Lahore Qalandars will square off against Multan Sultans in the third match of the Pakistan Super League 2020 edition at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday.
The 5th edition of the Pakistan Super League will kickstart from Thursday and the excitement levels among the Pakistani cricket fans is bursting through the roofs. The reason being, the stakeholders have agreed with the Pakistan Cricket Board to conduct the entire tournament for the first time in Pakistan itself. The Qalandars and the Sultans will add to the pomp of the league on Friday in Lahore and in the meantime, I have accumulated three of the best team markets for you to bet on. What? You don’t want to win some money for the weekend? So, shall we get started?
No I am not out of mind when I am claiming this to happen on Friday! It’s okay, eventually by the end of this section, you will be left with no choice but to trust me and I am pretty sure about it. Remember, I had once said that the Sultans will be one of the teams who are likely to make it to the playoffs along with Karachi Kings and obviously the other two - Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators? I am still going to stick to that considering the team the Sultans have for the forthcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League. The two teams have faced four times in the previous seasons of the Pakistan Super League and both teams have won two games each. As you can see there is nothing that could separate these two sides. When these two sides met the last time, it was the Sultans who came out on top. When T20 veterans like Mohammad Irfan, Shahid Afridi, James Vince, Junaid Khan, Imran Tahir, Moeen Ali, Shaan Masood and Rilee Rossouw come together for the Sultans, you can expect them to win. Bet 365 is offering odds of 2.20 for the Sultans to win and I am definitely going for the away team.
Yet again I am banking on the away team to make us win this bet and there are definite reasons to do so. Sultans come with a bagful of experienced players and some T20-cricket specialists in their squads who deal in boundaries mostly. Thus giving the veterans the edge for this market and you should consider the same as well. In the previous season of the Pakistan Super League, the Sultans managed to clobber 126 fours, and, on the other hand, the Qalandars could manage to hit 114 of them. When Sultans and Qalandars clashed the last time, the former clattered 15 boundaries whereas, the latter hit just one less. As you can see, when it comes to hitting fours, the Sultans have their step ahead even if the difference is marginal. Bet 365 is offering odds of 2.00 for Multan Sultans to hit more fours in the match than Lahore Qalandars and it could well be the case. Therefore, I am going to back the opponent against the favourites!
Two white-ball specialist cricketers will be seen lighting up the Pakistan Super League 2020 edition and it would be a treat to watch both of them bat. But somehow, Rossouw will have a slight edge over Zaman and that is because the last time the Pakistani left-handed batter was seen playing in a T20 game was back in October 2019 while, the South African swashbuckling batsman was seen taking on the bowlers in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League. Rossouw yet again for the second consecutive season, was the highest run scorer in the Bangladesh Premier League and this time he racked up 495 runs under his belt at an average of 45.00 including four fifties. Rossouw was the third highest run scorer for Quetta Gladiators in the last season of the Pakistan Super League with 295 runs under his belt. On the other hand, Zaman scored 285 runs at an average of 28.50 for the Qalandars. This market is relatively safer than the other two considering the form the South African T20 nomad is enjoying with the bat. Bet 365 is offering odds of 2.10 for Rossouw to score more runs over Zaman and I have already placed my bet. When are you going to do it?
