Fourth-placed Peshawar Zalmi will square off against table-toppers Multan Sultans in the 13th game of the Pakistan Super League 2022 at the National Stadium, Karachi on February 5, 2022 (Saturday).
Multan Sultans are on a roll this season, winning all fours games, thanks to their skipper Mohammed Rizwan’s imperious form. Rizwan has been breath-taking with the bat, as he has been in the last couple of years, and with Shan Masood and Tim David, the side have managed to topple every team that came their way. On the other hand, barring Shoaib Malik, the Zalmi haven’t been able to find a solid middle-order bat who can steer them from troubled waters. The contest will magnify the gulf but the Sultans will be on their toes knowing the unpredictability of the sport.
Shan Masood is currently the second-highest run-scorer in the PSL 2022, amassing 240 runs in four matches at an average of 60.00. With the highest score of 88, Masood has two fifties already, which tells us the impact he has had as a batter for the side. In 84 T20s, Masood has an average of 24.61 and that increases to 29.80 in wins. For Multan Sultans, Masood averages 33.38 in the Pakistan Super League, which is a great indicator of things to come. Even though Masood has an average of 21.75 against Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League, that number can take a further boost to a better credential considering his current run of form. In the previous three matches, his runs read 43, 88, and 83 - from that alone, you can judge it for yourself. Given the way he has marshaled Multan Sultans’ top-order batting this year, things can get interesting further with Masood knowing fully well the advantage he can bring to the side. Hence, it is apt to go for Masood striking at the center of it and yielding a lot of cash for us in the weekend.
The second-highest run-scorer for Multan this season, Rizwan has been the most prolific batter in the T20s, and in the first two games of the season, he scored 52* and 69. Even though he hasn’t scored much in the last two games, he entered the PSL with scores like 87, 38, 78 in the three previous games and that is enough to tell you everything one needs to know about Rizwan. For Multan Sultans, Rizwan averages 50.45 - an impeccable record already but that is further bolstered by the fact that he averages 57.91 at the National Stadium in Karachi. In Pakistan, his overall number stands at 44.78. In the 2021 PSL, the wicket-keeper batter averaged a stunning 45.45 and carried that form to average 98.50 in South Africa in Pakistan T20I Series 2020/21 and 67.67 in West Indies in Pakistan T20I Series 2021/22. Overall, his 2021 T20 average of 56.56 is a classic reminder of the fact that he is the best in the world in this period. Hence, there shouldn’t be any more reason to wait for anything else. Go and bet big on Parimatch.
With 112 runs at an average of 56.00 in the PSL 2022, Tim David has established his niche as a high–impact player and his overall career average of 33.23 does justice to that. While he averages 46.50 in international T20s, that drops to 29.62 in domestic T20s but in the broader term, this only signifies that he has it in him to become a huge player. The way he strikes the ball is understandable but consider this bet - but he averages 53.61 in wins, which is great. While batting first, David averages 44.96 and for Multan Sultans, his average stands at 56 which is huge. When he turned up for Lahore Qalanders in the previous season, David scored at an average of 45, which shows what he can build for he partakes for in the PSL. Hence, I am going big on David to tumble records in the PSL game against Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday and bring home a lot of cash for all punters, with Parimatch rewarding later.
