Sussex Sharks will lock horns with Kent Spitfires in match number 33 of the Vitality T20 Blast 2020 at the County Ground, in Hove, on September 3, Thursday.
Both Sussex and Kent have gone off to a very good start to their campaign and are clearly two of the best sides in the South Group. Sussex Sharks, as they are popularly known as, are sitting on top of that points table and Kent, A.K.A, Kent Spitfires are right behind them.
You must take a note of the fact that neither side has lost a game in the ongoing edition of the Vitality T20 Blast. It means we are in for a cliffhanger as two upbeat teams will go head-to-head on Thursday.
In the meantime, I have assorted three of the top markets from this game to bet on, so, why don't you take a closer look at them:
The 35-year-old English cricketer Lincolnshire, Luke Wright has been a loyal servant to Sussex Sharks for years. Not only has he gone on to play cricket for a really long time but also he has been consistent throughout those years. You have got to believe what I am going to say next - Luke Wright has played 307 T20 games in his career and has 7520 runs under his hat at an average of 28.70 including 7 hundreds and 40 half centuries!
The right-handed all-rounder has featured in a whopping 150 matches for the Sharks and has racked up 4137 runs at an average of 32.57. Just in case you need to know, in domestic T20 competitions, Wright averages 30.57 and has scored 6761 runs!
He has already notched up 117 runs in 3 matches for Sussex in the ongoing season of the Vitality T20 Blast. Wright has also been the top batsman for Sussex in one the 3 matches that they have played so far in the tournament. He has been the second highest run scorer for Sussex Sharks for two consecutive seasons (2018 and 2019) with 388 and 452 runs respectively.
All these numbers are indicative of one and only one fact, Luke Wright is going to shine bright with his hallowed piece of willow yet again in this upcoming encounter and for that, you can head over to the 10Cric website as it is offering odds of 3.50 for the same.
The 27-year-old skipper of the Kent, Daniel Bell-Drummond has been quite productive with the bat in the last couple of seasons for Kent Spitfires. And he seemed to have carried that form into this ongoing season of the Vitality T20 Blast and has already scored 125 runs in just 3 matches averaging 62.50 including one half century.
Bell-Drummond has featured in 93 T20 games in his career so far and has scored 2594 runs at an average of 30.51 including one century and 20 fifties. When he plays on the English soil, Daniel Bell-Drummond has notched up 2264 runs at an average of 30.69. In the previous season of the Vitality T20 Blast, Drummond was the highest run scorer for Kent Spitfires with 317 runs at an average of 26.41 including three half centuries.
In the 2018 season of the Vitality T20 Blast, Bell-Drummond was the second highest run scorer for the Spitfires after Joe Denly as the captain racked up 372 runs at an average of 31.0 with three fifties to his name as well. All the averages I have mentioned here are above the required number and 23 runs should be a piece of cake for the Kent Spitfire skipper tomorrow. LeoVegas is offering odds of 1.87 and there lies that opportunity of minting cash on Thursday night!
The South African all-round David Wiese has been quite sensational with the bat for Sussex Sharks and that comes as a surprise for a lot of you. The reason why I said it is because if you stare at his T20 career numbers, you will agree with my statement as well.
Wiese has played 229 T0 matches and has scored 2387 runs at an average of 23.87 including just six fifties. However that average is still more than what we need him to score on Thursday though! *winks* Wiese featured in 14 matches for Sussex Sharks in the last season of the Vitality T20 Blast and scored 284 runs at a pretty good average of 40.57 including one fifty against his name.
It seems that he has carried that form into this ongoing edition of the Vitality T20 Blast as well - the South African has racked up 122 runs in just two matches including a match-winning 79*; oh and by the way, he is yet to be dismissed in this season, so now you know why his average is on the rise after the first couple of matches!
LeoVegas is offering odds of 1.87 for David Wiese to score at least 20 runs tomorrow and staring at his current run of form with the bat, it is unlikely that he is going to score less than that.
Luke Wright to be the top team batsman for Sussex - @ 3.50 (10Cric)
Daniel Bell-Drummond to score more than 22.5 runs - @ 1.87 (LeoVegas)
David Wiese to score more than 19.5 runs - @ 1.87 (LeoVegas)
