Meet the Founder: Vikram Sharma
Vikram Sharma is not a professional gambler. He is a quantitative analyst who treats T20 cricket like a high-variance financial market.
After leaving a lucrative career in risk modelling, he founded Cricket Intelligence (the parent brand of this site) to solve the “randomness” of cricket betting.
He built the platform on a simple premise: Bookmakers win because of math. You should too.

The Backstory
Vikram’s background is purely academic and technical. He does not rely on “gut feeling” or “fan loyalty.”
He began his career handling big data architecture for global banking clients as a Senior Data Analyst at HCL Technologies.
In 2013, he left the corporate world to become an independent Algorithmic Consultant. For nearly a decade, he audited risk models for hedge funds and built automated trading indicators for private trading desks, specifically focusing on Betfair exchange markets.
In 2023, he went into “stealth mode” to apply these financial principles to sports betting full-time.
Career Timeline
- 2004-2007: B.Sc. Mathematics - University of Delhi
- 2007-2009: M.Sc. Applied Statistics - IIT Bombay
- 2009-2013: Senior Data Analyst (HCL Technologies)
- 2013-2022: Algorithmic Consultant for private trading desks. Ran automated Betfair trading algorithms across cricket and football markets
- 2025-Present: Founder of Cricket Intelligence
The Technology: VS-Probability Engine
The core of this website is not human opinion. It is the VS-Probability Engine, a proprietary Python-based system developed by Vikram.
How it works
It treats every ball bowled as a data point. The system processes multiple real-time variables, going far beyond basic averages:
- Pitch abrasion and decay
- Real-time dew point analysis
- Boundary dimensions vs. batter swing arcs
- Historical player matchup data
The Goal
To identify “Market Inefficiencies” - instances where public sentiment (and the bookmaker’s odds) disagrees with the statistical reality.
This rigorous approach allows the system to maintain a strike rate of over 70% across major leagues like the IPL and BBL, identifying value where others see noise.
The Philosophy
Vikram’s approach to cricket betting is identical to institutional trading.
“The house doesn’t win because they are lucky. They win because they trust the Law of Large Numbers. We are here to give retail users that same mathematical edge.”
He is analytical, calm, and focuses on Expected Value (EV).
Unlike his previous corporate work where this data cost millions, Vikram’s mission with Cricket Intelligence is to democratise access. That is why every model output is published 100% free - no VIP paywalls, no gatekeeping.
Verdict
Vikram Sharma brings a level of mathematical rigour that is rare in the online betting space. He is not a “tipster.” He is a builder.
If you are looking for emotional predictions or fan-based opinions, this is not the right platform. But if you want data-backed intelligence built by an IIT statistician, you are in the right place.
