The toss line comes from each match's own scorecard: who won the coin and whether they chose to bat or bowl. We read it every five minutes once a toss is due, so the result for who won the toss in today's match usually shows here within about ten minutes. A match called off before a ball was bowled has no toss, and this page says so.

Under Law 13.4 of the Laws of Cricket the captains toss not earlier than 30 minutes, and not later than 15 minutes, before the scheduled start. The toss times above use the earlier mark, so a 7:30 pm IST start has its toss at about 7:00 pm IST.
