How every toss call is graded

Each call is frozen before the toss. After it, we read the match scorecard's toss line: who won it and whether they batted or bowled. If the winner did what we called, the row is marked Right; if not, Wrong. Calls come from two lanes: our every-match ground model, which shows its probability, and the toss lines of our match previews, which do not. Both are graded the same way.

What is our toss prediction record?

211 of 351 graded calls correct (60.1%). The number updates when the newest call is graded; the last change was 25 September 2026.

How is each toss prediction graded?

Every call is published before the toss and frozen. After the toss we read the match scorecard's toss line: who won it and whether they batted or bowled. Match the call and the row is Right; miss and it is Wrong. No call is removed or re-scored.

What is a good cricket toss prediction accuracy?

Better than the lazy rule. In T20 the toss winner bowls first roughly three times in four, so "always bowl first" is the bar to beat. Judge the record against that, and read each call as a probability, not a certainty.

Why do some calls show a probability and others don't?

The ledger has two lanes. Our every-match ground model publishes its call with a probability. The toss lines from our match previews give a call without one. Both are graded the same way and both count in the record.

Is a toss prediction a guarantee?
